Family time is GOLD

Family is the most important thing in the world.” – Princess Diana

Do you agree? Do you know how important the time you share to your family? How lucky you are that you get to see your parents everyday. Time flies so fast and sometimes it's now or never.

Let's get rid of dramas. We all need positivity in life  isn't it? Last Sunday, We went to Mall of Asia and strolled along the streets of seaside bay. It's been a long time we haven't had quality time as family always busy at school and work. It's time to breathe for fresh air near the bay and feel the cold breeze at night. We are actually waiting for our 6pm reservation at Buffet 101. I love the view at the seaside and their themed-park view. The top ferris wheel that can be seen from a far, different rides for kids (flying carpet, caroussel, bump car) Wow!! A good place to release some bad vibes in your body.

it was packed that time so we just enjoyed strolling around. After which, we headed to our true destination which is BUFFET 101- Eat all you can and drink all you can.

It was my 2nd or 3rd time that I've been here. The classy type of fine dining. The ambiance, resto's atmosphere, the elegancy of chandeliers (esp. buffet area) its huge place. Everything is so refine. As we enter the place, we were greeted by their amiable service crew and lead us to our reserved seats. We started to get our food at the buffet area. Wow! too many selections and I can't even choose what food should I pick first. It's an international cuisine so there are varied choices for food. Here's to my first pick with my sushi or California rolls (insert pictures) and Watermelon shake. Yummy!!!

I actually love dining in a buffet. I guess it's something that we love (UNLI FOOD).

SECOND ROUND. I saw they have pizza and nachos been craving for these since last week and finally got them. Hooray! Pizza and Nachos with tomato salsa.

My next stop is desserts. It comes after the main part of the meal (who will ever forget that). There are too many selections for sweets but I chose Crepe. You have to ask the staff to do it for you My  delish crepe filled with banana and chocolate I also coated it with blueberries and chocolate sauce. My heart for chocolates!

There are these lovely sweets for your tooth- candies, gummy bears and the like. Oh my! What you'll probably get after eating all of these. I put mine in a small bowl

I rested for a while cause I'm feel bloated already. Lol. I took pictures that can be posted on my Instagram account. I've been observing their service crew and I've noticed that they are really accommodating. They know how to follow a certain script as a service crew. Good job! I also  have a video wherein they sing and dance for the birthday celebrant because they have a "Birthday Treat"

special for celebrants of the month. Here are the mechanics. I think it's their way of giving the celebrant a memorable experience at Buffet 101. A part of service we want from the resto whenever we are celebrating an occassion. I commend Buffet 101 for this!

Lastly, I took a sip of  mybrewed  coffee

just to cleanse or feel light after a heavy meal. It was my first time having "brewed" I never thought it would be that strong and the reason why I wasn't feeling sleepy that night we went home. Hahaha. It's almost 11 when we got home. It feels good that you get to bond with your family once in a while. Even though you see each other everyday what's important is the quality time you shared together. Family will always greastest gift from God. They are our source of strength in life.

Hope you enjoyed my blogs!

Call the doctor

Last week we were given a letter regarding our pilgrimage to Manaoag attached in it is a physical examination report. I asked my mom if our family doctor is available for the medical examination report. I was hesitant to go to her clinic because it's inside the hospital and you'll expect for queue of patients along the hallway of the hospital. The submission of the report is 3 days after the letter was given and since my friend is also looking for a doctor, I asked her to join me for the check up.
Doctor's Clinic
We went to see my pediatrician, Dra. Trinidad, who is a resident doctor at Sta. Teresita Hospital. She is my pediatrician since I was kid and I can say that she's really trusted and passionate. As we enter the hallway where her clinic is, we saw queue of patients along the corridors. We knocked at her clinic and was greeted by her assistant. We list down our names and I think we are 26th among the patients. We went there at 11 am and we finished at 3pm... (yes it took us hours and I'm getting impatient that time) Although, I understand that there are more patients who needs help and we're just here for our med report.

We've been through to the usual procedure for physical examination. Get our weight, height, blood pressure and some physical examination. After that we paid Dra fee of P200. (P200 for a 5 minute check-up) but the good thing here is atleast we know that we are safe to travel. We headed to UST after the check up because it's almost 4pm by then. I have nothing against their way of handling patients it was put up in an order way but it's just that it took us hours. I was actually planning that time that if Dra is not available we'll have our exam at UST hospital but you know price is too much... We'll pay P400 just for physical exam.

Doctors and hospitals is what we need in terms of healthcare services and it's important that we put our trust to them. Thank you Dra for my physical examination report.

APPLE OF MY EYE

The title itself speaks about our favorites. It might be your favorite color, favorite music, favorite food or even a favorite eating spot. This is why we constantly go to places to give time for ourselves, listen to music that helps us relax and and many more. Of course we all have reasons for our favorites right? In my today's blog, I want to share one of my so-called "apple of the eye" eating spot.

Who here eats congee/porridge or lugaw (in Filipino)? Have you tried the "lugaw with tokwa"? Or the "lugaw with egg"? We usually eat lugaw whenever we're sick, during rainy season and the like but for me lugaw is not seasonal. It could be my pre-lunch, snacks(merienda), or even dinner before I get home. I'm fond of eating congee ever since and because of that I found my fave eating spot that sells congee in their menus. Great great great!! Finally, we won't settle for the P15 lugaw with egg at Rosarito St. cor. Dapitan. Though it cost less but not satisfying because of its serving size (placed in sytro). I have discovered my new "lugawan place" and it's  there in V. Concepcion. A new establishment in replacement for the Belgian Waffle store. You familiar with Food Haven? They're actually known for Binalot + rice ft. Lugaw and Mami.
Information about their menu
When it's my first time to eat here I ordered for Goto but I wasn't satiated in my first attempt. For my second attempt the next day, I tried Lugaw only for P15 and it's bigger compared to the other lugaw in Rosarito.

Plain Lugaw
I always partner it with chili. Horaay! It makes me want to go back here just for their lugaw. Every TTH we have a break in between class so we go straight here (Yes! I've already recommended this to my friends.) I'm pleased to how they serve it. It's newly-cooked and enjoying to eat. It's size is much bigger compared to the other and the price is student-friendly. I tried ordering their tokwa for P15 and I partnered it with my lugaw. Great! For only P30 it can satiate your hungry tummy.

TOKWA 👍
I've noticed that they lack staffs inside so they're more of a self-service. So whenever your food is ready to be served you'll have to get it in front of the counter and pay after you order. Payment can come before or after you take an order. They have small space inside that can only accommodate few people. I think they need to augment a space for their eatery since they're gaining new customers everyday. Atleast if the space is bigger they can now accommodate nore customers.

The staffs at Food Haven is friendly and kindly. They know how to interact with their customers. So if they're planning to get bigger space it would be recommended of they'll hire more people that can cater the need of the new customers. After I discovered Food Haven it became my fave spot during break time. Our unexpected wants that leads us to repeat purchase.

YOU, WHAT'S YOUR APPLE OF THE EYE STORY?

KUYA DRIX's Photocopy Services

j.JPG

This is how we call him every time we go here to photocopy some notes.
Where do you go when you need to photocopy a book or notes? When you need to have a ringbind for your thesis? Easy access on facebook to download important files? No need to worry!! Kuya Drix's Photocopy services is here!! You can find their shop at Asturias near Jollibee. Kuya Drix's isn't really his name... We just made for undisclosed reason. Hahaha.

We are the loyal customers of Kuya Drix. I love how friendly and accommodating they are to us. I first find out about their shop a year ago and since then we always entrust our books and notes to them. Sometimes if we are lucky enough we get to have discounts. The Kuya's there are fun tot talk with. Hahaha.

There is this witty encounter with one of the Kuya's. I asked the other Kuya to photocopy a part of the book. I left it there and told them "Babalik ako after my class" So I came back and pay for the photocopy. I usually don't compute for the charges since I entrust it to them. Later on I realized that it was overpriced. Hahaha. I made my own computations and went their after my class. Kuya Drix (the one whom we are close with) was laughing at us. I showed him my computation of the expenses and why it was overpriced. He was laughing while I was explaining it to him. I think they were teasing us!! Lol. Nevertheless, after arguing with him he gave back my money. I'm still grateful to them because they are really accommodating unlike the other shops.
Thank you Kuya Drix! I would really love to endorse them to my co-Thomasians. Lol.

My readers and bloggers, Try something new everyday because this might be your so called "Unforgettable Firsts". More blogs coming up! For sure to keep you updated! This is also my first blog ever! (Sorry if it's too plain. I'll try to be more creatives next time!) See you soon guys!

ADIOS!

The Unforgettable

Hello!! This is going to be my firsts in blogging session (never done this before haha)  and since we are talking about our firsts, I will share to you my "first" experience... Any idea? Lol

Are you familiar with this restaurant as you passed by V. Concepcion cor. Dapitan? or have you heard about this from your friends? to those who haven't been here yet, let me share to you my first experience at Eduardo's Peri-Peri - flame grilled chicken.

On that day, my org mates decided to have lunch out meeting here at Eduardo's. I was hesitant at first because the restaurant's facade looks like a classy type of casual dining and I find it not student friendly. Anyway, I have no choice but to go to our meeting. As I enter the place, I was greeted with the distinct aroma of chicken being freshly grilled. Isn't mouthwatering? Hahaha. Of course the smell would attract students who passed along the hallway. (it is located at 2nd floor of Perpetual building) I looked at their menu and glad that they have various dishes to offer. They have their best sellers (chicken and with matching different combos). They also have value meals,  side dishes as well. Their main dishes cost P150 and above. I ordered their "best seller" they call it as Peri-Peri Chicken meals. It took a while before it was served to us. As I was eating, I want to point out some of my observations about their service crew staff. First, their staff isn't welcoming like "Good Morning Ma'am or Sir" Second, the crew isn't, mindful about the customers' needs (like serving them water or asking them if they need something). Those are some noticeable actions I've observed. So, going back to my chicken. Hahaha. I find the chicken really delicious (the flame grilled chicken) from the branding itself. It taste like an ordinary chicken yet with a twist of herbs and spices. It's how I would describe it based on what I've tasted. Their chicken is really delectable and I would highly recommend it to chicken maniacs out there. Hahaha. But I think I would not recommend the serving size because it is just plain(chicken and rice) plus choice of drinks for P150 without drinks its price is below P150. I would rate Eduardo's overall services and experience as 8/10 because I am somehow satisfied with my first experience here and I assure you this would probably add up to your new food list.
