The Pares Boy

The Pares Boy
Pares Boy located at V. Concepcion would always be my "on-the-go" food. Whenever I feel famished already Pares Boy would rescue my hunger. They have affordable burgers and Pares Boy menu that is student friendly the reason why student during break would go there. Let ke share to my experience of their not good service.
I and Kristine went to Pares Boy last last week because I'm hungry already I don't want to waste my time looking for other food. We decided to eat at Pares Boy and since I craved for siopao I asked ate if it's still available then she said Yes. She told me it would take 10-15 minutes to steam and I told her it's okay. I asked her if it's already steamed because 15 mins have passed already and she was like making face behind back. Here is our non-verbatim conversation.

Me: (After 15 mins) Ate, Okay na po ba?
Ate: Hindi pa 15 mins ate.
Me: Ay okay sorry po.
....
Me: (After another 10 mins) Ate okay na po?
Ate: Bigay mo na siya siopao. Tagal naman niyan nagmamadali eh. (in a disrepectful approach)

I gave her my payment but never said Thank you. Why would I even say thank you I was even polite at her and keep my composure but the other staff their were "nagpaparinig" to us. Is that how they serve employees? They are the frontline staff who doesn't know the proper way of dealing with customer. I have the tendency to associate Pares Boy with their moody staff. They are not amiable, not even welcoming when supposedly you should know that since you are frontline of th service.

The Second encounter is something funny made me realize something as a marketing student. I still went their despite of that bad service encounter with them. I ordered cheeseburger for P17 pesos. The other customer ordered burger "10 pesos lang daw" I and my friend was like?!?!!! Is there a buger that costs P10? I tried to look at the menu but I couldn't find the "10 pesos Burger" the she was laughing at me and she told me "Hindi mo ba makita yung malaking nakalagay" I asked her "Saan" she pointed at the menu on the board then I saw it cleally. It is printed bigger than the other menu. At first, you wont notice it because it camouflage the background of the menu and the price is smaller in print compared to other prices. I've realized something related to pricing and promotions it's their tactics to entice customers buy the burgers with quite higher prices. The tendency is you would't really see the 10 pesos burger because of how it was designed and probably their objective is buy the other menu instead of that 10 pesos burger that would generetae them less profit.

Nevertheless, despite of my not so good encounter with them I still choose to eat at their place because it saves my hunger.
